Countryside Experience Days at Little Thakeham Farm

Discover, explore and learn in the great outdoors. Memorable countryside experiences for schools, charities and community groups at Little Thakeham Farm
Countryside Education Days

Little Thakeham Farm is a beautiful and varied countryside setting, providing schools, charities and educational organisations with a natural backdrop for outdoor learning. Whilst we don't run educational visits ourselves, our land offers an ideal venue for those who do.

From rolling grassland and woodland to lakes, hedgerows and open spaces, the farm provides a diverse landscape where groups can explore, discover and learn. Whether the focus is wildlife, habitats, biodiversity, conservation, rural life or simply encouraging young people to connect with nature, the environment lends itself to engaging, hands-on experiences throughout the year.

We're delighted to work alongside schools, charities and educational providers looking for a countryside venue that offers both space and variety. Every visit is different, and the flexibility of the farm allows organisations to create days that suit their own objectives, curriculum or programme.
The Experience – What to Expect

Little Thakeham Farm provides the setting - you bring the learning.

Our varied landscape offers a wonderful backdrop for organisations delivering countryside education, environmental projects and outdoor learning. Rolling fields, woodland, lakes, hedgerows and natural habitats all provide opportunities for exploration, observation and hands-on activities.

Whether you're planning nature walks, wildlife surveys, biodiversity projects, forest school sessions, conservation activities or curriculum-based learning, the farm offers the flexibility to create a day that works for your group. There is plenty of space for groups to spread out, investigate different environments and experience the countryside beyond the classroom.

We know we've mentioned this before, but remember that we do not currently offer packages for these eductation days. Essentially, because every organisation is different, visits are entirely shaped around your own programme. We're simply here to provide the venue - a welcoming, peaceful and varied countryside environment where meaningful outdoor learning can take place.
